Description:

The Quality Control Lead is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the quality control team to ensure products meet required quality standards before reaching customers. This role ensures compliance with regulatory standards, internal procedures, and customer expectations through supervision, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise quality control inspectors and technicians across shifts or production lines.
  • Implement and enforce quality control procedures and policies.
  • Monitor production processes and perform inspections at various stages.
  • Ensure testing methods and results meet company and industry standards (e.g., ISO, GMP, FDA).
  • Maintain records of inspections, test results, and corrective actions.
  • Identify non-conformances, investigate root causes, and implement corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Train and mentor QC team members on inspection techniques, standards, and safety.
  • Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality assurance teams to resolve quality issues.
  • Prepare and present quality reports and metrics to management.
  • Support audits by internal teams or external agencies/customers.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Quality Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • 3–5 years of quality control or assurance experience in manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, or relevant industry.
  • Prior leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Strong understanding of quality standards (e.g., ISO 9001, Six Sigma, GMP).
  • Proficient in using quality tools such as SPC, 5 Whys, Pareto analysis, and FMEA.
  • Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Comfortable using data collection software, MS Office, and QC-related systems.

Preferred Skills:

  • Certification in quality management (e.g., ASQ CQT, Six Sigma Green/Black Belt).
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement processes.
  • Familiarity with ERP and quality management systems (QMS).
