We are currently seeking an experienced Residential Designer with a strong background in cabinetry and a passion for sales to join our team immediately.
Position Overview:
We are looking for a creative, detail-oriented Residential Designer with expertise in cabinetry to help us design and execute top-notch remodeling projects. The ideal candidate will have experience using Chief Architect software, a solid understanding of cabinet design and construction, and the ability to engage with clients throughout the design and sales process. This position offers a competitive salary plus commission and a generous benefits package.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create detailed design concepts for kitchen, bathroom, and residential remodeling projects.
- Design custom cabinetry and storage solutions that meet both the aesthetic and functional needs of clients.
- Use Chief Architect software to produce accurate floor plans, elevations, and 3D renderings for client presentations.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their vision, preferences, and budget.
- Work closely with contractors, suppliers, and manufacturers to ensure designs are implemented correctly.
- Manage the design process from concept through completion, providing ongoing support and design guidance.
- Utilize sales skills to close deals and drive business, ensuring clients are satisfied with both the design and cost estimates.
- Keep up with the latest design trends, cabinetry materials, and industry standards.
- Ensure compliance with building codes, local regulations, and company standards.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in residential design, with a focus on cabinetry and customization.
- Proficiency in Chief Architect software is required.
- Strong knowledge of cabinet construction, materials, finishes, and layout.
- Experience in sales and the ability to convert client interests into signed projects.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work directly with clients and a team.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to solve design challenges creatively while adhering to project timelines and budgets.
- A degree in Interior Design or a related field is a plus.
- Experience in residential remodeling and an understanding of the construction process is preferred.
