Pay Rate: $32-36/hr
Shift: 1st Shift
Job Summary
The Corrugated Production Plant Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily manufacturing operations in a corrugated packaging facility. This role ensures production goals are met safely, efficiently, and in accordance with quality standards while leading and developing production personnel.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily production activities across corrugator and converting operations to meet production schedules and customer requirements
- Lead, train, coach, and evaluate production employees to ensure safe, productive, and efficient operations
- Enforce plant safety policies, OSHA regulations, and housekeeping standards. Conduct safety meetings and incident investigations
- Monitor and maintain product quality, ensuring compliance with customer specifications and internal quality systems
- Coordinate with maintenance to minimize downtime and support preventive maintenance activities
- Track and analyze production metrics including efficiency, waste, downtime, scrap, and labor utilization
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean manufacturing, 5S, and waste reduction programs
- Ensure proper material usage and inventory flow of liners, mediums, adhesives, and production supplies
- Complete production reports, labor tracking, and shift handoff communications
- Collaborate with planning, logistics, and management teams to support overall plant performance
Qualifications:
- Minimum of High School School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
- 3+ years of supervisory experience in a corrugated, packaging, or manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of corrugator and converting equipment preferred
- Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and manufacturing safety practices
- Proven leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment
- Proficient in basic computer systems and production reporting tools
