Spot Zero Water is seeking a talented and motivated QA/Software Engineer to join our growing team. At Spot Zero Water, we are revolutionizing water purification with innovative solutions that provide clean, high-quality water for a variety of applications. We are looking for an individual with a passion for quality assurance and a strong background in software development to help us maintain and enhance our cutting-edge systems.


*This is a fully ONSITE position in Fort Lauderdale, FL. (Must reside in Florida- preferably already local to the Miami-Broward-Palm Beach county area)

*Remote or hybrid are not an option.

*No C2C. Must have full authorization to work in the United States.


Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for our software applications.
  • Identify, document, and track software defects, working closely with the development team to ensure timely resolution.
  • Participate in the full software development life cycle (SDLC), including requirements review, design discussions, development, testing, release, and post-deployment validation.
  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts using various testing frameworks.
  • Collaborate with product managers and developers to understand project requirements and ensure quality throughout the development process.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of our QA processes and methodologies.
  • Perform root cause analysis of software defects and provide detailed reports.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline (preferred but not required)
  • Proficiency in JavaScript and Python
  • Experience with C or C# and/or exposure to Windows application development (preferred but not required)
  • Experience working with cloud providers like AWS, AZURE, GCP, etc...
  • Experience working with React applications
  • Comfortable working in a Linux environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail and a quality-first mindset
  • Ability to communicate clearly and work cross-functionally

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

  • This is a full-time, in-office position | Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
  • Ability to lift 15 pounds.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk or working on a computer.
