Job Description

Position Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Maintenance Technician with experience in cannabis manufacturing or extraction facilities. This role supports the maintenance of production equipment and facility infrastructure to ensure smooth, compliant, and efficient operation. The ideal candidate understands the unique demands of a regulated cannabis environment, including cleanliness, safety, and equipment reliability.


This is a Monday - Friday, 6 am - 3 pm FT position reporting to the General Manager


Key Responsibilities:

· - Maintain and troubleshoot cannabis extraction, distillation, and post-processing equipment (e.g., vacuum ovens, chillers, FFE systems, reactors, and pumps).

· - Perform routine maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems supporting lab and production operations.

· - Quickly diagnose and resolve equipment malfunctions to minimize downtime.

· - Support installation and calibration of new equipment and systems.

· - Maintain logs of maintenance activities per GMP or internal SOP requirements.

· - Perform safety checks and maintain cleanliness in accordance with state cannabis regulations and OSHA guidelines.

· - Collaborate with production, lab, and compliance teams to ensure equipment meets operational and regulatory standards.

· - Manage spare parts inventory and support vendor coordination for major repairs.

· - Perform building maintenance, including lighting, plumbing, and structural upkeep.

· - Follow lockout/tagout procedures and ensure a safe work environment at all times.


Qualifications:

· - 2+ years of maintenance experience in a regulated manufacturing environment (cannabis industry strongly preferred).

· - Working knowledge of extraction and distillation systems, including troubleshooting vacuum pumps, chillers, filtration units, and electrical control panels.

· - Familiarity with cannabis processing SOPs, GMP, OSHA safety protocols, and cleanliness standards.

· - Strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting skills.

· - Ability to work with minimal supervision and respond to emergency repair needs.

· - Capable of lifting 50 lbs, climbing ladders, and working in hot/cold environments.

· - High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or vocational training a plus.

· - Experience with CMMS or maintenance tracking software preferred.

· - Valid driver’s license; must be able to pass a background check as required by state cannabis regulations.


Nice to Have:

· - Experience with hydrocarbon extraction systems

· - Certification in HVAC, electrical, or industrial maintenance

· - Understanding of laboratory ventilation systems and environmental controls

· - Prior work in a state-licensed cannabis production facility
