What You'll Do:

  • Interpret and carry out the prescription of the physician; including static and dynamic splinting.
  • Evaluate all patients referred for therapy and completes reports pertaining to theses evaluations.
  • Maintain patient treatment schedules consistent with the needs of the department.
  • Confer with the person(s) most closely associated with the active management of the patient and keep them informed of any additional patient needs, treatment and/or progress.
  • Prepare and submit departmental reports, assuring confidentiality, including: evaluation reports/summaries, discharge reports/summaries; progress reports to referring physician/agency, progress notes on all patients within their area and daily attendance records and summaries of same.

What Your Qualifications Should Be:

  • Graduate from an accredited school for occupational or physical therapy
  • CHT certification preferred or at least 1 year of experience in a hand therapy clinic
  • Experience with EHR systems (NextGen preferred) and knowledge of basic surgical techniques preferred
