An exceptional opportunity for experienced Registered Nurses specializing in Operating Room care is available in Hialeah, FL. This contract role focuses on liver and transplant surgeries, with additional cases as needed. Candidates must demonstrate strong expertise in liver, heart, lung, and kidney transplants, including proficiency in MISONIX/CUSA technology, and experience with organ implantation procedures.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years direct RN experience in liver/transplant OR settings
- ACLS and BLS certifications required at application; NIHSS must be obtained prior to start
- Proficient in MISONIX/CUSA equipment usage
- Demonstrated experience with organ implantation, not solely organ harvesting
- Applicants must be nicotine-free and pass a negative 10-panel drug screen including cotinine testing
- Ability to commit to an on-call schedule: 1 shift per week plus two 12-hour weekend shifts monthly
- Willingness to float within scope to support facility needs
- Pending nursing licenses considered

Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized perioperative nursing care focused on liver and transplant surgeries
- Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure seamless organ transplantation procedures
- Manage patient care before, during, and after operations with attention to detail and safety
- Participate in a structured 4-day 10-hour daytime shift schedule (06:45-17:15)
- Complete mandatory time-sensitive modules promptly as part of orientation
Additional Information:This is a contract position offering guaranteed hours of 36 hours for three 12-hour shifts or up to 40 hours for alternate schedules. The facility maintains a smoke-free environment, strictly enforcing nicotine-free status for all staff. Candidates must disclose all requested time-off upfront as changes may not be accommodated once approved.
