We are currently looking for a full time (will consider part-time) Medical Assistant in a Plastic Surgery practice.
REQUIREMENTS:
- A minimum 3 years' experience working in a medical office.
- Experience with in-office procedures and visits.
- Experience in plastic surgery and/or dermatology a plus.
- Experience in AAAASF accreditation process will be very helpful but not require.
- Knowledge in basic office protocols such as HIPAA, Biowaste, sterilization process.
- Well versed in sterile technique, wound check, suture removal and bandaging techniques.
- Able to review pre and postop instructions with patients
- Ability to multitasks and keep pace in a busy environment.
- EMR experience with EMA (Modern Medicine) is a plus.
Main duties include:

Chart prep. Documenting visits, consultations, and procedures with accuracy and details.

Set up, scrub and sterilize instruments.

Assist surgeon with aesthetic breast and body procedures by maintaining surgical field, passing instruments, ordering supplies, and sterilizing equipment.

Call patients with lab results, preop instructions, and postop wound check and suture removal

Room patients, obtain vitals and histories

Postop wound checks and suture removal

Coordinating surgery with outside sources such as hospitals, surgery centers and other providers
