Certified Cardiographic Technician (CCT) or Exercise Physiologist
Full-Time | Cardiology Practice | Between Tradition & Stuart, FL
About the Role
We are seeking a Certified Cardiographic Technician (CCT) or Exercise Physiologist to join our busy outpatient cardiology team located between our Tradition and Stuart offices. The ideal candidate will have experience performing 12-lead EKGs and assisting with cardiac stress testing procedures, including treadmill, pharmacologic (Lexiscan), nuclear, and stress echocardiograms.
Monitor Technicians who plan to earn their CCT certification within 6 months are also encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Perform accurate 12-lead EKGs
- Assist with stress testing (Bruce, Modified Bruce, Lexiscan, nuclear)
- Measure and record blood pressure during procedures
- Start and manage IV lines (or become proficient within 6 months)
- Prepare and monitor patients before, during, and after testing
- Recognize cardiac rhythms, artifacts, and ischemic changes
- Maintain clean and functional testing areas and equipment
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current BLS certification (AHA required)
- Completion of EKG training or equivalent experience
- Prior EKG or cardiac testing experience required
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Reliable and detail-oriented
- Knowledge of cardiac medications and testing protocols preferred
Physical Requirements
- Lift up to 50 lbs occasionally, 20 lbs frequently
- Frequent standing and walking during procedures
