Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Ophthalmologist to join our energetic medical team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge in diagnosing and treating a wide range of eye conditions and diseases. This role involves performing advanced surgical procedures, providing comprehensive eye care, and contributing to the overall health and well-being of our patients

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct Comprehensive Eye Examinations: Perform detailed eye and vision tests to diagnose various eye conditions and diseases.
  • Diagnose and Treat Eye Disorders: Identify and manage conditions such as cataracts, glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and other ocular diseases.
  • Perform Surgical Procedures: Execute advanced surgical interventions, including cataract extraction, corneal transplants, LASIK, and other laser surgeries.
  • Provide Emergency Eye Care: Address urgent eye issues, including injuries and sudden vision loss, with prompt and effective treatment.
  • Patient Education and Counseling: Educate patients on eye care practices, preventive measures, and post-operative care to ensure optimal eye health.
  • Collaborate with Healthcare Professionals: Work closely with other medical specialists to manage systemic conditions affecting vision, such as diabetes and hypertension.
  • Stay Updated with Medical Advancements: Keep abreast of the latest developments in ophthalmology through continuous education and participation in professional organizations.

Qualifications:

  • Medical degree (MD or DO) with specialization in Ophthalmology.
  • Successful completion of an accredited ophthalmology residency program.
  • Board certification in Ophthalmology in the State of Florida
  • Valid state medical license to practice Ophthalmology.
  • Proficiency in performing a wide range of ophthalmic surgical procedures.
  • Strong diagnostic skills and a thorough understanding of ocular anatomy and physiology.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate approach to patient care.

Group Specifics:

  • 5MD (Ophthalmologists), 13 (OD (Optometrists), 8 locations, +2 Ambulatory Surgery Centers
  • OD First Call, No Hospital Call
  • Services include: Cornea, LASIK, Cataract Surgery, Glaucoma Management and Surgery, Medical Retina, Eye Lid Surgery, Optometry, Dry Eye, and Optical
  • Currently Expanding Locations and Physicians Throughout Mid-Florida
  • 3 Physician Owners, with Partnership Track for New Ophthalmologist Based on Existing Formula as well as Personal Production, Time, and Owner's Discretion
