Job DescriptionImperial Golf Club is seeking a dynamic and polished Membership Sales & Services Manager to lead our membership operations and support new member acquisition, orientation, and retention efforts. This highly visible, relationship-focused position plays a key role in creating a first-class experience for current and prospective members alike.

This individual oversees the full membership life cycle, manages communications, maintains accurate records, and serves as a primary point of contact for prospective and existing members. Key ResponsibilitiesMembership Sales, Administration, and Onboarding

  • Serve as the first point of contact for prospective members, provide tours, and answer membership-related questions.
  • Screen prospective members and manage the entire admissions process (interviews, background checks, board approval, deposits, initiation fees, and correspondence).
  • Conduct new member orientations and facilitate smooth integration into club life.
  • Oversee the Members Concierge employee to ensure consistent service and member satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date membership records; process new members, resignations, and status conversions (e.g., clubhouse or social conversions).
  • Track and report the number of active members by category (Golf, Social, Associate, etc.) on a regular basis; support leadership and committees with membership data and trends.
  • Manage the scanning and filing of membership agreements and related documents.
  • Respond to member and guest inquiries, requests, and complaints to ensure satisfaction and prompt resolution.
  • Attend and record minutes for all Board meetings.
  • Meet regularly with the Membership Committee and serve as the primary staff liaison.
  • Partner with the 'Girlfriends Group' and other internal teams to enhance new member experiences.
  • Manage member resignations and their equity redemption choice.
  • Ongoing pipeline and digital marketing efforts to support membership growth.

Marketing, Strategy & Member Engagement

  • Coordinate membership prospecting efforts including receptions, tournaments, realtor outreach, and other approved events.
  • Monitor market trends and provide feedback on membership structure and policies.
  • Maintain a database of local realtors and keep them informed on membership opportunities.
  • Create and maintain membership reports and documentation.
  • Support Membership Chair and General Manager with planning prospective and new member events.
  • Develop and manage departmental expenses in line with financial guidelines.
  • Plan and implement activities with the Girlfriends Group.

Community Relations & Networking

  • Network with members, guests, and the local community to maximize leads and referrals.
  • Maintain relationships with past members and event hosts.
  • Actively participate in industry events, community outreach, and MDASF (Membership Directors' Association of Southwest Florida).
  • Proactively generate leads through digital marketing, personal referrals, and strategic outreach.
  • Support the execution of membership marketing campaigns (digital, print, and social media).

Team & Club Collaboration

  • Collaborate with other managers on projects and special events.
  • Lead by example and maintain positive rapport with all departments.
  • Participate in scheduled staff meetings and uphold club policies and standards.
  • Stay informed on club happenings and social events to serve as an information resource for members.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Hospitality, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience in a membership, sales, or customer service environment will also be considered.
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in country club membership and marketing.
  • Proven success in relationship-driven sales environments.
  • Highly organized with excellent time management and attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to confidently present to individuals and groups.
  • Polished, professional demeanor with a warm and engaging personality.
  • Technologically proficient, with working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher), Outlook, and digital marketing platforms.
  • Experience with Jonas Club software is preferred.
  • Demonstrated public relations and customer service skills.
  • Independent and self-motivated, yet collaborative and team oriented.
  • Established presence in Southwest Florida and active in local professional networks.
  • Schedule flexibility with vacations planned during off-season months.
