Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position offers a one-year contract with potential for extensions or permanent placement. Located in South Florida, this role serves a pediatric outpatient clinic focused on individual therapy for children ages 2 to 18, primarily addressing mild to moderate needs without medically fragile cases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine speech and language needs
- Provide direct, individualized therapy sessions targeting pragmatics, receptive and expressive language, reading and writing delays, articulation, and autism spectrum disorders (mostly high-functioning)
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings to support student progress and team collaboration
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports
Qualifications:
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology
- Pediatric SLP experience preferred
- Completed Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) or eligibility to practice independently
- Familiarity with school-based therapy requirements and IEP process
- Ability to work effectively with children exhibiting a variety of communication delays and disorders
