Job Title: Medical Assistant
Job Description
Join a dynamic team dedicated to making a difference in patients' lives. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our multi-floor outpatient cancer facility, assisting with patient care and facilitating smooth operations.
Responsibilities
- Draw and process labs for a location that sees 250-300 patients daily.
- Call patients back and escort them from the front to their designated rooms.
- Perform phlebotomy tasks and monitor physician schedules.
- Conduct depression and pain scale screenings.
- Document necessary information for the physician.
Essential Skills
- Proficient in patient care and medical assisting.
- Skilled in phlebotomy and comfortable with blood draws.
- Experience with medical records and electronic health records.
- Knowledgeable in medical terminology and customer service.
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA).
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Proficient in using electronic medical records (EMR).
- Desire for long-term career development and growth.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Brooksville, FL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
