We are seeking a Practice Group Manager (PGM) to serve as the operational backbone of our practice groups—the one who enforces compliance, safeguards client satisfaction, and makes sure the “machine” runs without drift.
This is a non-billing, management role for someone who thrives on problem solving, accountability, and operational precision. If you’re wired to spot issues before they escalate, enforce standards without compromise, and keep attorneys and paralegals moving in sync, this is the role for you.
You’ll work directly with attorneys, paralegals, Team Leaders, and Chairs to ensure discipline at the practice level, while serving as the COO’s trusted partner and “eyes and ears” inside the group.
What You'll Do
- Guard compliance by enforcing matter plans, workflows, SLAs, and process adoption across attorneys and staff.
- Maintain data integrity by ensuring dashboards and scorecards are accurate, timely, and actionable—no drift, no guesswork.
- Identify and resolve issues early by spotting workload imbalances, SLA slippage, or client satisfaction risks before they escalate.
- Drive system adoption by ensuring consistent use of technology platforms (Litify, Salesforce, automation tools) across the firm.
- Support leadership by partnering with Team Leaders, Vice Chairs, and Chairs to uphold execution discipline and operational standards.
- Safeguard the client experience by ensuring every update, portal, and deliverable meets JB’s standards for clarity, reliability, and timeliness.

Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in operations, project management, or professional services.
- Strong aptitude with technology and process adoption.
- Proven ability to enforce standards and hold teams accountable.
- Experience in a law firm or similar professional services environment preferred.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
