Location: Clearwater, FL, 33762
Position Summary:
The Maintenance Electrician maintains and repairs equipment to ensure safe, efficient
operations, focusing on preventive maintenance, upgrades, and maximizing production
for a PVC cover and jacketing systems provider.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain and repair vacuums, extruders, ovens, chillers, and cooling towers.
Troubleshoot and fix lighting, heaters, cords, and conduits.
Address A/C issues and perform repairs when possible.
Check oven amp readings and fuses during mold changes.
Ensure machinery complies with standards and operates efficiently.
Collaborate with departments to resolve electrical and mechanical issues.
Perform other duties as needed.
Qualifications:
Education/Certifications:
High School Diploma/GED (required).
Journeyman Electrician license and PLC certification (preferred).
Experience:
4–6 years of relevant experience (required).
6–10 years of relevant experience (preferred).
Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of engineering, production processes, and electrical systems.
Expertise in mechanical tools like benders, hacksaws, and drills.
Strong problem-solving, communication, and time management skills.
Proficiency in reading technical documents and reports.
Safety-focused, team-oriented, and quality-driven mindset.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., stoop, kneel, climb, and work in a manufacturing
environment.
Working Conditions:
Exposure to heat, humidity, electrical shocks, and airborne particles.
Hours: 2nd shift: Mon–Fri, 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM; Saturdays as needed.
Overtime: Required as necessary.
