MaxHealth is looking to hire a full-time Clinical Trainer with familiarity with medical and procedural terminology. Under the direction of senior leadership, this position will be responsible for determining training objectives and creates lesson plans and other materials needed for training- including designing and delivering front desk and practice management new hire training and ongoing user training during system changes/upgrades.

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in health care informatics preferred and healthcare experience is essential. Professionals with a healthcare-related degree must have a minimum of 1 year, at a super-user level of proficiency, with electronic healthcare system(s) familiar with processes, policies, role expectations and medical vocabulary.
  • Training and / or experience with medical and procedural terminology preferred.
  • Knowledge of healthcare and excellent computer skills are required.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively both orally and written. Ability to demonstrate positive customer service skills.
  • Self-motivated individual with the ability to motivate others in a positive manner.

Daily Operations Responsibilities:

  • Ability to quickly develop an in-depth knowledge of the EMR and organizations operating practices.
  • Develop Quick Reference Guide to assist to support system users.
  • Work collaboratively to create and update new EMR training materials/templates (checklists, flowcharts, screen shots, training videos etc.)
  • Ensure a timely response and feedback to system users.
  • Log end user issues and resolution.
  • Track/Trend to identify additional user/organization retaining needs.
  • Provide practice coverage as needed.
  • New-hire training of all non-clinical staff and some clinical staff introduction of key clinical concepts, practices, and processes.
  • Provides "Hands-on" clinical training and subsequent "Shadowing" to ensure proper application of key clinical and technical concepts/learnings.
  • Responsible for incorporating changes in clinical/organization policy and procedures into the new-hire training, and the re-training of existing clinical staff resulting from EMR enhancements and other improvements.
  • Create and provide specialized trainings to identified "super users", Practice Managers, and other role specific training to ensure the effective delivery of guidance at the practice site.
  • Contributes to the development of a detailed EMR training plan including policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for maintaining and revising all New Hire training materials and content.
  • Assist/Contribute in training support for the implementation/upgrade of the EMR
  • Document and help troubleshoot any issues that may occur during upgrade/Go-Live support phase.
  • Implement approved changes and commonly used formats, template structures and methods for recording data in the EMR with the goal of integrating/consolidating all EMR workflows to benefit all departments and users.
  • Provide leadership of projects by leading the implementation of and providing ongoing support for projects related to the electronic health record (EMR), including but not limited to; standardization of workflow and data capturing across all electronic systems; utilization of all electronic systems; integration of clinical objectives and information technology; optimization analytic usage and reporting;
  • Maintains a working relationship with clinical and IT staff to ensure applications are working as designed, and that future implementations/upgrades are designed around clinical best practices and end user optimization.
  • Document and analyze user requirements to identify if system gaps exist.
  • Lead the implementation and support of the organization and department-wide standardization, utilization, integration, optimization, and best practices activities related to the EMR and other clinical informatics initiatives.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of means to identify trends, outcomes and indicators related to quality, cost, and efficiency performance of patient's healthcare experience.
