HVAC Estimator - New Construction
Spectrum AC is a well-established HVAC contractor with over 20 years of experience supporting high-volume new construction and commercial projects. With a strong project backlog and consistent year-round work, we are adding an HVAC Estimator to support our continued growth and help drive accurate, competitive bids for new construction projects.
This role is ideal for an experienced HVAC professional with a strong understanding of new construction systems who is ready to transition into a more office-focused, analytical role with long-term stability and growth.

About the Role
As an HVAC Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and timely estimates for new construction HVAC projects. You will review plans and specifications, perform takeoffs, build pricing, and collaborate with internal teams to ensure bids are competitive, complete, and aligned with company standards.
This role plays a critical part in setting projects up for success before work ever begins in the field.
Key Responsibilities

Review plans, specifications, and project documents for new construction HVAC jobs

Perform material, labor, and equipment takeoffs

Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates and proposals

Collaborate with project management and operations to ensure scope alignment

Work with vendors and suppliers to obtain pricing and availability

Track bid deadlines and support timely submissions

Assist with budget handoffs once projects are awarded

Maintain organized records of estimates, revisions, and awarded projects
What We're Looking For

5+ years of HVAC experience, preferably in new construction

Prior experience estimating HVAC projects or strong field experience with estimating exposure

Solid understanding of HVAC systems, materials, and installation methods

Strong attention to detail and analytical skills

Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications

Organized, deadline-driven, and comfortable managing multiple bids at once

Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
