Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Mechanical Assembly Machinist to join our team. This role involves maintaining cleanliness and organization in the shop areas, including the chemical room, machine shop, and production floor. You will play a crucial part in daily operations, ensuring efficient and effective production processes.
Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain shop areas including the chemical room, machine shop, and production floor, ensuring FOD control.
- Organize shop materials and tools, maintaining 5S compliance.
- Learn to select, align, and secure specified holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines such as mills, lathes, grinders, sanders, drill presses, computerized engraving machines, and riveting machines.
- Assist production technicians with preparing aircraft parts for inspections using solvent cleaners, paint strippers, and media blast as required.
- Stage material and ensure that machines are safe, clean, and orderly.
Essential Skills
- 12 months of mechanical assembly machining experience or machinist helper experience.
- Proficiency with calipers and micrometers.
- Ability to read and interpret prints.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Entry-level role assisting CNC and Manual machinists with part and tooling setup.
- Familiarity with machining operations within a manufacturing environment.

Work Environment
Work on a 1st shift schedule from 7am to 3:30pm, in a well-organized, safe, and clean manufacturing environment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Titusville, Florida.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
