Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Environmental Restoration Technician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in water damage restoration, mold remediation, and environmental hazard mitigation. This role involves working directly with property owners, insurance representatives, and our internal team to ensure properties are restored to safe and livable conditions. The position requires travel to job sites throughout Florida, sometimes on short notice for emergency response.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform water damage extraction, structural drying, and dehumidification using industry-approved methods and equipment.

  • Conduct mold inspections, sampling, and remediation following environmental safety guidelines.

  • Install roof tarps, shrink wraps, and temporary protective measures after storm or structural damage.

  • Assist with leak detection and moisture mapping to identify hidden damage.

  • Prepare detailed job reports, including photos and measurements, for insurance documentation.

  • Work collaboratively with project managers, engineers, and claims specialists to ensure quality restoration outcomes.

  • Follow OSHA safety regulations and company protocols for handling hazardous materials.

  • Operate restoration equipment such as air movers, dehumidifiers, HEPA vacuums, and negative air machines.

  • Provide excellent customer service, ensuring homeowners and business clients understand each step of the restoration process.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required; additional training or certification in water damage restoration (IICRC WRT/ASD) or mold remediation (AMRT) preferred.

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in restoration, construction, or environmental services (preferred but not required; training available for the right candidate).

  • Ability to work in physically demanding environments, including lifting 50+ lbs, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces.

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

  • Willingness to travel across Florida and work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and emergency on-call shifts.

  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

What We Offer:

  • Competitive hourly rate based on experience.

  • Overtime opportunities for emergency and after-hours work.

  • Paid training and certification support.

  • Company-provided tools, equipment, and safety gear.

  • Opportunities for career growth within a reputable restoration company.
