Octagon Talent Solutions is in search of a WorkdayHRIS Director for one of our explosively growing clients in the Fort Lauderdale area.You will be part of a team and organization that is in undergoing a digital and strategic transformation!You will be responsible for managing, implementing and maintaining human resources information management systems and processes for the organization, while supporting organizational design and process engineering.
As the HRIS Director, you will report to the CHRO and working with other internal customers to analyze work process design and flow, improve processes and leverage the return on technological capabilities.You will buildproject plans, ensures adherence to project schedules, maintain, troubleshootand designHRIS systems and processes.This position also serves as a technical point-of-contact for the assigned functional area and assistsubject matter experts with ensuring data integrity, testing of system changes, report writing and analyzing data flows for process improvement opportunities. As HRIS Directoryou will support HRIS upgrades, patches, testing and other technical projects as assigned, and leadHRIS process improvement projects and drive to ensure integrity of HR applications.
Responsibilities:
- Implement, oversee, and maintainthe optimal function of the organization's internal HR information services systems, which may include database management, network support, installation, customization, development, maintenance, and upgrades to applications, systems, and modules.
- Overseeand maintaininternal database files, tables, codes, backup files, integrity, and security.
- Install, implement, modifyand upgradesoftware and applications to meet changing business and technology.
- Providetechnical support, troubleshooting, and guidance to HR employees and other internal customers.
- Collaboratewith executive leadership and HR staff to identify needed improvements and enhancements to existing information services and databases; recommendand implementsolutions.
- Managepermissions, access, personalization, and similar system operations and settings for HR services users.
- Programcustom functions and documentation such as automated queries, filters, macros, and reports.
- Compileor assistwith the acquisition of complex data reports, summaries, and logs requested by senior executives and HR staff.
- Serveas lead representative and liaison between HR, BST, external vendors, and other stakeholders for HR database design and implementation projects.
- Ensuresystem compliance with data security and privacy requirements.
- Maintainknowledge of trends and developments in data management and security, HR technology, and HRIS applications.
- Overseethe procurement of appropriate hardware and software to ensure that the organization has high quality, efficient systems.
- Facilitatemigration to a unified HRIS if required.
- Performother duties as required.
Requirements:
- Understand and use qualitative/quantitative measurement and data collection design principles.
- Uses effective approaches for choosing a course of action or develops appropriate solutions to issues that arise.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizations skills and attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field or equivalent work experience. Master's degree in human resource management, MIS, computer science or related degree preferred.
- At least five years of HRIS implementation and management or related experience required.
- SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential preferred.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) credential preferred.
- Knowledge of Workday. Experience with an emphasis on Human Capital Management (Workday Reporting experience strongly preferred).
- Exceptional ability to gather and interpret data, as well as improve HRIS processes.
- Ability to collaborate, provide technical support, and train staff.
- Extensive experience in analyzing HRIS and HR performance metrics.
- Advanced proficiency in database management and security.
- Experience in documenting processes, as well as performing diagnostic tests and audits.
- Ability to keep up with technical innovation and trends within Workday.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
