We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Captain with a "MMC 100 Ton" license to lead our team with professionalism and expertise. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, exceptional management skills, and a solid understanding of rigging and mechanical systems. This role is critical in ensuring the safety, efficiency, and success of our operations.
Duties
- Master of the Vessel
- Oversee all aspects of vessel operations, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
- Lead and manage crew members, providing guidance and support to foster a collaborative work environment.
- Create a Yacht Program
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and systems to ensure proper functioning and safety protocols are followed as outlined in the Yacht Program.
- Maintains meticulous records and logs of the vessel's operations, maintenance, and crew activities to comply with regulations
- Coordinate rigging operations, ensuring all procedures are executed with precision and care.
- Plans and executes all voyages, which includes mapping routes, assessing weather and sea conditions, and coordinating with port authorities.
- Maintain communication with relevant stakeholders regarding operational status, challenges, and achievements.
- Implement training programs for crew members to enhance skills in management, rigging techniques, and mechanical knowledge.
- Respond promptly to emergencies or unexpected situations, demonstrating strong decision-making abilities.
Qualifications
- Must possess a valid U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) Master's License, rated at 100 Gross Tons (GRT).
- 10 years previous experience in a leadership role as a "Licensed Master Captain"
- 10 years experience - Operating and interpreting complex systems such as GPS, radar, Automatic Identification System (AIS), and Electronic Chart Display and Information Systems (ECDIS).
- 10 years previous experience outlining a deep understanding of all relevant maritime laws, regulations, and safety protocols for compliance in international waters.
- Proven management skills with the ability to motivate and direct a diverse team effectively.
- Strong knowledge of rigging practices and mechanical systems relevant to vessel operations.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey information clearly.
