Job DescriptionDescription:

The Service Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of reverse osmosis (RO) water pump systems used in watermakers. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, hands-on technical skills, and the ability to work independently in the field to ensure reliable system performance and customer satisfaction.


Key Responsibilities

  • Install reverse osmosis water pump systems and related components for watermakers
  • Perform routine maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on RO systems
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues
  • Inspect systems to ensure proper operation, pressure, and water quality
  • Replace pumps, membranes, filters, seals, and other system components as needed
  • Follow manufacturer specifications, safety standards, and installation procedures
  • Maintain accurate service records and documentation
  • Communicate clearly with customers regarding system operation, maintenance, and recommendations
  • Coordinate with internal teams regarding parts, scheduling, and service updates
  • Travel to job sites as required

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training preferred
  • 2+ years of experience installing or servicing reverse osmosis systems, watermakers, pumps, or similar mechanical systems preferred
  • Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills
  • Basic electrical and plumbing knowledge
  • Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams
  • Comfortable working in confined spaces and marine or industrial environments
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work with tools for extended periods
  • Ability to work in tight or enclosed spaces

Preferred Skills

  • Marine systems experience
  • Familiarity with high-pressure pumps and filtration systems
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

Work Environment

This position may involve fieldwork in marine, industrial, or remote environments. Exposure to water, mechanical equipment, and varying weather conditions is expected.
