Job Description

The role supports the ongoing processes of the Quality Control Laboratory, focusing on microbiological testing of raw materials and finished products using Petri film and agar plate methods. Responsibilities also include media preparation and sterilization, inventory management, and compliance with cGMP standards.

Responsibilities

  • Perform microbiological analysis on raw materials, finished products, stability, and environmental monitoring.
  • Prepare and sterilize media.
  • Conduct sample preparation and shipping.
  • Manage laboratory inventory.
  • Conduct basic laboratory testing and clean glassware.
  • Maintain compliance with cGMP.
  • Support Out of Specification (OOS) investigations.
  • Willing to work holidays and weekends as requested.
  • Perform other duties as directed by the Laboratory Supervisor and Laboratory Management.

Essential Skills

  • Minimum 1-year experience testing microbial samples in a cGMP environment, including drugs, dietary supplements, and medical devices.
  • Understanding of aseptic techniques and general microbiology test methods.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in using software such as Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English, with the ability to understand oral and written instructions.
  • Good manual dexterity.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Technical degree (2-year) with 2 to 4 years of laboratory experience or a 4-year degree with 1+ years of experience.
  • Department cGMP and SOP requirements training.

Work Environment

The position requires working within a cGMP Quality Control Laboratory environment. The role involves interacting with various laboratory equipment and adhering to safety and quality protocols. Flexibility in working hours, including holidays and weekends, is expected as per the lab's operational needs.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
