Job Title: Quality Assurance Technician – Concrete Plant

Location: Lacoochee, Florida

Job Overview: Customer Driven Staffing is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Assurance (QA) Technician to join our team at a concrete plant in Lacoochee, Florida. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all concrete products meet the company's quality standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements. As a QA Technician, you will play a vital role in inspecting and testing raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products to maintain the highest quality in our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform regular inspections of incoming raw materials and concrete mixes to ensure compliance with quality standards.

  • Conduct various tests on concrete samples (e.g., slump, air content, compression, temperature, etc.) as per established guidelines.

  • Ensure all equipment used for testing is calibrated and maintained in proper working condition.

  • Review and analyze test results, and prepare detailed reports for internal and external use.

  • Monitor and track production processes to identify areas for improvement, ensuring the consistency and quality of concrete produced.

  • Work closely with the production team to resolve quality-related issues and implement corrective actions.

  • Conduct periodic audits of plant processes to ensure adherence to industry standards and company specifications.

  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental guidelines, and other applicable standards.

  • Assist in developing and implementing quality control programs and procedures.

  • Maintain accurate records of tests, inspections, and results.

  • Provide training and support to plant employees on quality assurance procedures.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred).

  • Previous experience in quality assurance or quality control, ideally within a concrete or construction industry environment.

  • Familiarity with concrete testing methods, ASTM standards, and industry regulations.

  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Proficient in the use of testing equipment and software for quality management.

  • Knowledge of safety regulations in a manufacturing environment.

  • Strong time management skills and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a physically demanding environment.

  • Comfortable working in varying weather conditions and on plant floors.

  • Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
