Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available in Southeast Florida, servicing K-12 schools within St. Lucie Public Schools. This contract position runs from January 5, 2026, through June 2, 2026, with both full-time and part-time hours available depending on assignment needs. The role involves work primarily at Dan McCarty Middle School and Forest Grove Middle School in Ft. Pierce, Oak Hammock K-8 in Port St. Lucie, and participation in the Private School Evaluation Team based out of the district office.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing speech-language pathology services across multiple school settings
  • Managing caseloads with children in K-12, including specialized support for InD units and DHH cluster sites
  • Conducting speech and language evaluations, particularly on the Private School Evaluation Team
  • Collaborating effectively with educational staff and other therapy professionals to support student communication development

Qualifications for this role:

  • Active Florida licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is required
  • Certified CCC-SLP preferred, especially for evaluation responsibilities
  • Experience levels ranging from entry-level practitioners to those with over 10 years of school-based experience are welcome to apply

Assignment Details:

  • Schedule varies per location: majority assignments are full-time at middle schools (4 days at one, 1 day at another), with part-time options at other sites including a 2-day week at Oak Hammock K-8 and 1 day per week for evaluations
  • Most work occurs at single campuses, with no hybrid or remote options
