Job Duties
- Assist physicians in performing diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures, including coronary, structural heart, peripheral, and EP cases.
- Prepare and position patients for procedures; perform and document baseline assessments.
- Operate and maintain imaging and hemodynamic monitoring systems (MacLab, GE, Philips).
- Monitor ECG and hemodynamic data throughout procedures; recognize and report abnormal findings.
- Administer and document medications and contrast media under physician direction.
- Maintain aseptic and sterile techniques; ensure compliance with infection control standards.
- Prepare, clean, and restock procedure rooms and equipment after each case.
- Maintain accurate procedure documentation using Meditech.
- Participate in call rotation for evenings and weekends; respond promptly to emergent cases.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and technologists to ensure safe and efficient workflow.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Graduate of an accredited Cardiovascular Technology (CVT) or Radiologic Technology program.
- BLS and ACLS certifications required.
- Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab experience in a hospital setting.
- Proficiency with MacLab, GE, and Philips systems preferred.
- Knowledge of coronary, structural heart, peripheral, and electrophysiology procedures.
- Ability to function in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment and participate in on-call rotations.
- Must demonstrate strong critical thinking, teamwork, and communication skills.
- Florida state licensure or certification required if applicable.
