Elevator attendant -Front Desk
Position Overview: The Elevator Attendant/Front Desk supports the property by managing all visitors’ operations, especially with vendors management, ensuring the smooth operation of the property elevators. Cordially and professionally answering, and routing calls, assisting with various administrative functions, and working on special projects as needed.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Answer multi-line phone in a pleasant manner and direct calls to appropriate staff members.
- Greet and announce visitors in a professional and courteous manner.
- Operate elevator(s) in accordance with safety procedures and building protocols.
- Greet residents, guests, and vendors courteously, providing assistance as needed.
- Ensure elevator cars and entryways are clean, tidy, and free from obstructions.
- Enforce building access and visitor policies to maintain security.
- Enforce the rules of contractors, vendors, making sure they are authorized to enter the premises.
- Communicate promptly with the front desk, concierge, or security team regarding incidents or service needs.
- Spends time both at the front desk and in the elevators, frequently traveling between floors to manage access and assist visitors.
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
- Work on special projects as assigned.
Required skills and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role preferred.
- Bilingual English/Spanish.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to remain attentive and courteous for extended periods.
- Basic understanding of building safety and security practices.
- Proficient with Microsoft MS programs; Word, Outlook, and Excel.
- Must have strong time management skills and be able to work well in a fast-paced environment.
- Physically able to walk and stand for long periods and assist with light lifting when needed. Must be able to lift to up 50 lbs.
