Position Title: Maintenance Technician

Reports To: Maintenance Chief Engineer


Position Summary:

This position reports directly to the Maintenance Chief Engineer and is primarily responsible for both preventative maintenance and maintenance work orders.


Specific Responsibilities:

Core responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following:


• Provides routine maintenance of units after the previous guest departure to ensure a high standard of quality for incoming guest.

• Participates in annual preventative maintenance program.

• Uses general maintenance equipment to include hand tools, power tools, ladders, and safety equipment.

• Demonstrates proficiency in troubleshooting and repair of plumbing, electrical equipment, HVAC systems and appliances.

• Utilizes customer service skills when responding to guest work orders and/or interacting with other resort team members.

• Works under the direction of Chief Engineer to ensure all work is performed safely, properly and in a timely manner.

• Responds to guest and vendor-generated work orders promptly and efficiently.

• Completes Company-required training and ensures ongoing compliance.

• Adheres to all work rules, procedures and policies established by the company, including but not limited to, those contained in the Team Member Handbook.

• Performs all other duties as assigned by management.

Managerial Responsibilities:

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Experience:

The responsibilities listed above are representative of the knowledge and experience desired.

Education:

High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Flexible Scheduling:

Must be able to work Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Holidays.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to walk, stand, stoop, kneel, crouch. The employee Is required to use his/her hands and fingers to feel, and reach for objects of various sizes, shapes, and weight.

The employee will occasionally be required to climb a ladder or balance and, to talk, to hear and /or smell. The employee must regularly push, pull, lift and /or move 10-25 lbs. And occasionally push, pull, lift and/or move 50 or more pounds with assistance. Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to focus in various settings.

Team member will be regularly exposed to outside weather conditions. The employee may be frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The associate is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is normally moderate to loud.

This position is highly visible in all resort areas, team members must present a clean professional appearance and must adhere to Daily Management, Inc., Local Standard Operating Procedures Standards of Appearance.
