Are you passionate about protecting people and creating a safe, welcoming space for families and children? Miami Children’s Museum is looking for a Part-Time Security Guard to help safeguard our colorful, curiosity-filled environment!
Join our team and play a key role in keeping our staff, visitors, and little explorers safe while contributing to an unforgettable museum experience. This isn’t just about security—it’s about community, care, and connection.
What You’ll Do:
- Keep our property and people safe with a proactive and professional presence
- Patrol the museum and its perimeter, monitoring for any unusual activity
- Respond quickly and lawfully to incidents and emergencies
- Monitor surveillance systems, alarms, and access points
- Write detailed reports and maintain accurate logs
- Perform First Aid or CPR when needed
- Be a friendly and reassuring face for our guests
- Support other museum needs as assigned
Requirements:
- Prior experience as a security guard or similar role
- A valid security officer diploma or certification
- Familiarity with emergency equipment and detection systems
- Strong understanding of public safety protocols
- Sharp attention to detail and solid surveillance skills
- A calm, confident, and professional demeanor
- High school diploma required
- CPR/First Aid certification a plus
