At Learning Tree PPEC Tampa, LLC, we specialize in caring for medically complex children in a safe, nurturing environment. Our Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care (PPEC) center is open Monday through Saturday, providing up to 12 hours of high-quality nursing care, therapy, and developmental support. The Opportunity:
We are looking for a passionate, dedicated, and caring Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our nursing team. This is more than just a leadership role; it’s a chance to create meaningful change in the lives of children and families while guiding and mentoring a team of compassionate healthcare professionals.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead, mentor, and support a talented nursing team.
- Oversee daily clinical operations of our PPEC center.
- Coordinate and implement individualized Plans of Care in collaboration with physicians.
- Ensure safe, high-quality care while maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Partner with the Administrator on staff development, training, and quality improvement.
- Serve as a hands-on leader by providing direct patient care when needed.
What We’re Looking For:
- Current Florida RN license and CPR certification.
- At least 2 years of pediatric nursing experience (including 6+ months with medically fragile children in a PPEC, NICU, PICU, or similar setting within the past 5 years).
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Compassion, patience, and dedication to making a positive impact.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) candidates strongly encouraged to apply!
