Geographic locations in which MMSI currently operates include the U.S East, Gulf & West Coasts, and Alaska. The Corporate Office is in Southern California (Ventura) and its Regional Boat Maintenance Center a technically advanced facility in Woodbine Georgia.

How you would make an impact/key responsibilities:

Join the dynamic MMSI team as an Outboard Mechanic. This position is located at the Navy Dive School Training Center Panama City, FL. Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Performs routine preventative and corrective maintenance on gasoline powered outboard engines and maintains and repairs associated Craft systems
• Operates and Inspects outboard engines and systems to diagnose defects, dismantles and reassembles equipment, replaces defective components and tests to ensure operating efficiency.

Must be able to trouble shoot and repair small diesel engines, Perform routine maintenance on small diesel engine driven equipment.
• Ensure compliance to all Company Policies and Procedures, USCG, Federal, State and Local Government Agencies regulations.
• Any other duties as required for the Contract performance

What is needed to succeed:

The Outboard Mechanic shall be certified to work on the assigned outboard engines.

Physical Demands

Light to Moderate. Please refer to the USCG Merchant Mariner Medical and Physical Examination Requirements for Merchant Mariner Credentials (Form CG-719 K).

Work Environment:

At sea, pier side, associated facilities and aboard vessels and craft.
