We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our healthcare team on a Per Diem or Full-Time basis. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality respiratory care to patients in a variety of settings, including clinics and hospitals. This role involves working closely with patients of all ages, including pediatrics, and requires a strong understanding of acute care practices and advanced respiratory techniques. The Respiratory Therapist will be responsible for assessing patient needs and ensuring optimal ventilatory support.
Duties
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine respiratory needs and develop appropriate treatment plans.
- Provide care in both clinic and hospital settings, including Level I Trauma Centers and Intensive Care Units (ICU).
- Monitor patients' responses to treatments and adjust care plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive patient care and improve overall health outcomes.
- Educate patients and their families on respiratory health management, medication administration, and basic life support techniques.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient assessments, treatments administered, and progress notes in compliance with healthcare regulations.
Experience
- Previous experience in a clinical or hospital setting is preferred, with a focus on Pediatrics and acute care environments.
- Proficiency in ventilatory management techniques and familiarity with advanced respiratory equipment is essential.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required; additional certifications in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) are a plus.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team are essential for success in this role.
