JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Network & Security Engineering Manager to lead our team of network and security engineers. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure and scalable network infrastructure, ensuring the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of our systems. The ideal candidate will bring both technical depth and leadership expertise, enabling the organization to remain secure, resilient, and innovative.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and manage a team of network and security engineers, providing mentorship, performance reviews, and professional development.
- Oversee the design, implementation, and optimization of enterprise network infrastructure (LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, VPN, Wi-Fi, etc.).
- Develop, maintain, and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures aligned with industry best practices and regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR).
- Ensure the secure operation of internal networks, firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and perimeter defense.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (DevOps, Cloud, Application, Compliance) to support business initiatives with secure and scalable solutions.
- Manage and respond to network and security incidents, including root cause analysis and remediation.
- Evaluate, recommend, and implement new network and security technologies and tools.
- Conduct regular audits, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing.
- Oversee vendor relationships and contract negotiations for network/security tools and services.
- Prepare and manage budgets related to network infrastructure and cybersecurity.
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (Master's preferred).
- 8+ years of experience in network engineering and cybersecurity, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of routing/switching protocols, firewalls, VPNs, wireless technologies, and modern network architectures (e.g., SDN, Zero Trust).
- Experience with cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST, CIS Controls), risk management, and compliance standards.
- Proficiency in tools and platforms such as Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet, AWS/Azure networking & security services, SIEM, and EDR solutions.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CCNP/CCIE, CISM, or equivalent are highly desirable.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
- Cloud security and hybrid infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Automation and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) for network/security.
- Experience in regulated industries (e.g., finance, healthcare).
