Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products that meet their needs.
- Provide product demonstrations and explain features to enhance customer understanding.
- Utilize upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities while ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently for processing transactions.
- Maintain an organized and visually appealing sales floor by restocking shelves and arranging displays.
- Handle customer inquiries with professionalism, including phone etiquette for incoming calls.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and provide support as needed.
- Supervise junior staff or new hires when necessary, fostering a collaborative team environment.
Requirements
- Previous experience in retail or customer service is preferred.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers.
- Familiarity with grocery store operations is a plus.
- Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply as it enhances customer interaction.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required.
- Demonstrated ability in upselling and product knowledge is highly desirable.
- Proficient in using POS systems or similar technology.
