Insurance Defense Attorney - Fort Lauderdale or Miami Office
A statewide civil litigation firm is seeking an experienced Insurance Defense Attorney to join its growing team. The firm represents insurers, self-insured corporations, and third-party administrators in a wide range of defense matters, including general liability, premises liability, auto negligence, professional liability, and construction defect claims.
This position offers immediate case responsibility, a collaborative team environment, and opportunities for courtroom experience and long-term growth.
Salary & Benefits:
- Base salary range: $110,000 - $150,000, depending on experience and location

Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
- Active license to practice law in Florida
- 2+ years of civil litigation or insurance defense experience
- Strong legal writing, research, and oral advocacy skills
- Experience in discovery, motion practice, depositions, and court hearings
- Ability to handle a litigation caseload independently and meet deadlines
- Trial experience is a plus but not required
Responsibilities:
- Defend clients in civil litigation matters, primarily in insurance defense
- Draft and respond to motions, pleadings, and discovery
- Conduct and defend depositions
- Prepare for and attend mediations, hearings, and trials
- Collaborate with partners and senior attorneys on strategy and case development
- Maintain timely communication with clients, carriers, and internal teams
- Ensure compliance with litigation guidelines and reporting requirements
