Job Description
POSITION: Data Analyst II
REPORTS TO: VP of Finance
POSITION CLASSIFICATION: Full Time – Salary, Exempt
POSITON DESCRIPTION: The Data Analyst will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting large datasets to provide actionable insights that support business decision-making. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to identify trends, optimize processes, and improve overall performance through data-driven strategies. Additionally, the Data Analyst will manage and maintain master data, document system processes, assist in creating training materials, and ensure a strong understanding of the business to deliver meaningful insights.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
- Collect, clean, and validate data from multiple sources to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Analyze complex datasets to identify patterns, trends, and correlations.
- Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into analytical solutions.
- Perform statistical analysis and predictive modeling to support strategic initiatives.
- Manage and maintain master data, including creation, updates, and quality checks to ensure data integrity across systems.
- Document system processes and workflows to support operational transparency and compliance.
- Assist in developing training materials and provide guidance to end-users on data tools and processes.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of the business to ensure data insights align with organizational goals.
- Implement and enforce data governance standards and best practices.
- Present findings and recommendations to management in a clear and concise manner.
Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Data Science, Computer Science, or related field.
- 3-5 years experience as a Data Analyst or similar role.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases.
- Expert knowledge of Excel and data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau).
- Familiarity with programming languages such as Python or R for data analysis.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills and ability to present complex data in an understandable way.
- Experience with Master Data Management (MDM) principles and tools is a plus.
- Ability to document processes and create user-friendly training materials.
- Business acumen and ability to connect data insights to strategic objectives.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
- Knowledge of machine learning techniques.
- Understanding of data warehousing and ETL processes.
