POSITION: Data Analyst II

REPORTS TO: VP of Finance

POSITION CLASSIFICATION: Full Time – Salary, Exempt

POSITON DESCRIPTION: The Data Analyst will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting large datasets to provide actionable insights that support business decision-making. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to identify trends, optimize processes, and improve overall performance through data-driven strategies. Additionally, the Data Analyst will manage and maintain master data, document system processes, assist in creating training materials, and ensure a strong understanding of the business to deliver meaningful insights.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Collect, clean, and validate data from multiple sources to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Analyze complex datasets to identify patterns, trends, and correlations.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into analytical solutions.
  • Perform statistical analysis and predictive modeling to support strategic initiatives.
  • Manage and maintain master data, including creation, updates, and quality checks to ensure data integrity across systems.
  • Document system processes and workflows to support operational transparency and compliance.
  • Assist in developing training materials and provide guidance to end-users on data tools and processes.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of the business to ensure data insights align with organizational goals.
  • Implement and enforce data governance standards and best practices.
  • Present findings and recommendations to management in a clear and concise manner.

Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Data Science, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 3-5 years experience as a Data Analyst or similar role.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases.
  • Expert knowledge of Excel and data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau).
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as Python or R for data analysis.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to present complex data in an understandable way.
  • Experience with Master Data Management (MDM) principles and tools is a plus.
  • Ability to document processes and create user-friendly training materials.
  • Business acumen and ability to connect data insights to strategic objectives.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
  • Knowledge of machine learning techniques.
  • Understanding of data warehousing and ETL processes.
