Elite Group Staffing and Headhunting Firm is hiring an Analytical Chemist for a confidential client in the hemp processing industry located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. This is a full-time, onsite role ideal for candidates with hands-on experience in HPLC and GC instrumentation and a passion for quality control and regulatory compliance.
The Analytical Chemist will perform chemical analysis of hemp-derived products using advanced chromatographic techniques. This role includes equipment maintenance, data analysis, and oversight of the Certificate of Analysis (COA) process to ensure compliance with FDA and 2018 Farm Bill regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct cannabinoid testing using Shimadzu LC-2030 and Agilent 1200 HPLC
• Operate and maintain LC and GC systems
• Prepare samples and generate quality system-compliant data
• Troubleshoot instrumentation and ensure proper calibration
Maintain accurate records and follow SOPs and safety protocols
• Manage COA databases and coordinate product sampling and testing
• Monitor regulatory compliance for hemp products
Qualifications:
• Minimum 1 year of experience in an analytical laboratory
• Proficiency with Shimadzu LC-2030, Agilent 1200, and Agilent GC systems
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience with method development, qualification, and validation
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Preferred:
• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or related field
• Experience in GMP-regulated environments
• Familiarity with hemp industry regulations
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
