Job DescriptionDescription:Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled Construction Equipment Operator to safely and efficiently operate a variety of heavy construction machinery. This role is essential in supporting site preparation, excavation, grading, material movement, and other construction-related tasks. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with multiple types of equipment, strong safety awareness, and the ability to work effectively in a team-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate heavy construction equipment such as bulldozers, excavators, loaders, backhoes, graders, and forklifts.
  • Perform excavation, trenching, grading, demolition, and material handling as directed.
  • Inspect and maintain equipment daily to ensure safe and proper operation.
  • Follow safety regulations, site plans, and supervisor instructions at all times.
  • Assist with loading/unloading materials and equipment when necessary.
  • Identify and report equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or repair needs.
  • Maintain accurate logs of work performed and equipment usage.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum [X years] of experience operating construction equipment preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and applicable heavy equipment operator certification (if required).
  • Knowledge of construction safety procedures and OSHA regulations.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans and site layouts.
  • Strong physical stamina and ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Team-oriented with strong communication skills.

Work Environment

  • Outdoor construction sites with exposure to noise, dust, and weather conditions.
  • Requires use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • May involve overtime, weekends, or extended hours based on project deadlines.
