Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education, active DHH teaching certification, and 1+ years Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This full-time position is for a dedicated Teacher specializing in Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) education within a K-12 school setting. The role spans the 2025-2026 school year and involves working with students from kindergarten through 12th grade to support their academic and social development.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

  • Certification or licensure in Deaf and Hard of Hearing education
  • Experience working with K-12 students who are deaf or hard of hearing
  • Proficiency in munication methods appropriate to the DHH population (e.g., sign language, auditory-verbal techniques)
  • Ability to design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Strong classroom management and collaboration skills with peers, families, and support staff

Location:

  • Position based in Venice, Florida

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized instruction tailored to the unique learning needs of students who are deaf or hard of hearing
  • Assess student progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly
