Job Title: Civil Construction Estimator (Commercial Projects)
Location: Thonotosassa, FL (Onsite)

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Civil Construction Estimator to join a reputable and growing civil/infrastructure contractor specializing in commercial construction projects. The Civil Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for commercial civil and infrastructure projects, managing the full estimating process independently, and working closely with internal teams and external partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare complete and accurate cost estimates and full bid packages for commercial civil construction projects
- Analyze plans, specifications, and contract documents to determine scope and pricing for commercial work
- Estimate projects involving commercial DOT-related work, utilities, storm water systems, concrete, asphalt, and infrastructure
- Solicit, evaluate, and level subcontractor and supplier pricing for commercial projects
- Collaborate with internal teams, including two junior estimators, to ensure accuracy and consistency
- Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, vendors, and partners throughout the commercial bid process
- Participate in bid reviews, value engineering, and project handoff meetings
- Maintain organized estimating files and documentation
- Work onsite as part of the commercial estimating and preconstruction team
Qualifications:
- Strong experience estimating commercial civil construction projects (required)
- Proven background in commercial DOT, utilities, storm water, concrete, asphalt, and infrastructure work
- Ability to independently complete a full bid package for commercial construction
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Experience mentoring or supporting junior estimators is a plus
- Procore experience preferred
- Proficient with estimating software and Microsoft Office
- Must be able to work onsite in Thonotosassa, FL
