Summary Statement
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Facilities and Custodial Specialist to support the cleanliness, sanitation, and overall presentation of our facilities. This role is primarily responsible for custodial services across multiple floors and for ensuring that all areas remain clean, orderly, and compliant with applicable cleanliness and safety standards. The ideal candidate takes pride in maintaining a safe and professional environment for employees, patients, and visitors.
Responsibilities:
- Perform daily custodial and cleaning duties to ensure all facilities and various floors remain clean, organized, and well maintained.
- Ensure the facility is consistently clean and maintained in accordance with cleanliness codes, safety standards, and internal protocols.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, offices, common areas, breakrooms, conference rooms, and clinical or operational spaces as assigned.
- Empty trash and recycling, replace liners, and properly dispose of waste in accordance with company procedures.
- Replenish restroom, kitchen, and custodial supplies as needed.
- Perform routine inspections of assigned areas and address cleanliness issues promptly.
- Support light facilities tasks such as moving furniture, setting up rooms, or assisting with office moves as needed.
- Identify and report maintenance issues, safety concerns, or supply shortages to the supervisor.
- Follow all health, safety, and sanitation regulations, including any site specific or regulatory requirements.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of custodial storage areas and equipment.
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Prior experience in custodial, janitorial, or facilities cleaning roles required.
- Prior experience cleaning in healthcare settings preferred.
- Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques, sanitation standards, and use of custodial equipment and supplies.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including standing for extended periods, bending, lifting, and carrying supplies or equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and follow instructions.
- Good communication skills and a professional, respectful demeanor.
