Irrigation Technician
Installs, maintains, and repairs irrigation systems, ensuring efficient water distribution for lawns, gardens, plants and trees. Works with various components like sprinkler heads, drip lines, pumps, timers, valves and sprinkler clock timers. Responsibilities include system installation, troubleshooting, repairing leaks, and adjusting timers. Technicians also perform system upgrades.
Key Responsibilities:
· Installation:
Installing new irrigation systems, including laying pipes, digging ditches, replacing valve boxes, setting up sprinkler heads, and connecting timers.
· Maintenance:
Regularly inspecting systems, cleaning components, and performing preventative maintenance to ensure optimal performance. Performs routine wet checks within each community and on common property.
· Repair:
Diagnosing and repairing issues like leaks, broken sprinkler heads, malfunctioning timers, and pump problems.
· Troubleshooting:
Identifying and resolving issues with irrigation systems, often involving the use of specialized tools and equipment.
· Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including digging and working outdoors.
· Driving: A valid driver's license is required.
· Water Management: Adjusting watering schedules, optimizing water usage, and ensuring systems comply with local water restrictions.
· Customer Service:
Providing excellent communication with clients regarding system performance, maintenance needs, and upgrades. Responds to work orders in a timely manner. Ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
