The Lead Commercial HVAC Service Technician must have a minimum of three (3) years’ experience in commercial HVAC; including but not limited to, chillers, cooling towers, DX splits, RTU’s, VAV’s, as well as some controls.

Hours: Monday – Friday 7:30am - 4:00pm. Nights and weekends required on an On-Call rotation.

Rate: $25 and up/hr. depending on experience - can include vehicle, gas card and Epass.

Essential Skills:

Knowledge of commercial air-conditioning, split systems, heating & roof top exhaust systems required
*Experience working on chillers is preferred.
Prefer knowledge of HVAC controls and programmable thermostats.
Fundamental knowledge of basic refrigeration systems, ability to read gauges and meters to identify simple problems, and the ability to perform general maintenance as required.
Prefer ability to read mechanical drawings and As-Builts.
Ability to identify worn components including contactors, belts, pulleys, sheaves and bearings is a must.
Technician should have their own hand tools. Some tools will be provided by the company.
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. This will be used for service work orders and reports as needed
Prefer knowledge of computer operations for our energy management system.

Minimum Job Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) and 5 years work experience or training.
Valid Driver’s License - Must provide your own hand tools
