Job DescriptionPosition Summary:To supervise employees providing laboratory assistance services during the shift. To provide laboratory assistance services during the shift. Perform the work detailed in the job descriptions of the staff supervised. Supervise staff so each one meets their job standards. Train new personnel to meet their job standards. Determine that work on the shift is done according to the established deadlines. Maintain the work environment so work can be done according to the established deadlines and standards. Assess the reasonableness of work to be done by the staff. Determine innovative ways to improve work done and services provided by the staff. Implement new systems and equipment to improve work done and service provided by the staff. Coordinate work on the shift with each shift Section Supervisor to insure uniformity and continuity of workflow. Be cost conscious and promote cost awareness among supervised employees. To meet requirements as set forth by accrediting agencies.

Position Qualification:

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

One year experience in an acute care facility preferred.

Basic computer skills required.

Required Licenses/Certifications:

BLS Required.
