Hanley Foundation is a non-profit organization that aims to eliminate addiction through prevention, treatment, advocacy, and recovery support. We are currently seeking a Recovery Advocate Supervisor to join our growing team at our state-of-the-art substance use/mental health treatment facility in sunny West Palm Beach, Florida.


Summary/Objective:

You will report directly to the Chief Clinical Officer. Your chief responsibilities will be to assist the staff in the management and execution of the daily schedule and coordination/facilitation of client needs. You will sometimes facilitate lectures and group discussions and will be directly involved in mentoring the clients. At times you will also be maintaining files, facilitating and coordinating off-facility activities such as driving clients to medical and other appointments, making airport runs, as well as assisting in the admission/intake process, and other aspects of the client’s experience at Hanley. Be familiar with all Hanley staff members, programs and properties.


Duties & Responsibilities:

· Complete daily shift reports, Monday through Friday, and distribute to RAs.

· Schedule and supervise all RA’s, maintain, distribute and re-arrange schedule where necessary.

· RA Supervision and ongoing RA meetings.

· Initial training and ongoing training of new hires and existing RA’s.

· Recruit, interview and coordinate job shadowing for new hires.

· Performance Management for all team members.

· Ensure the RA Team acts in ways consistent with and mindful of Patient Rights.

· Be the Liaison and coordinator between patients, clinical and medical staff.

· Supervise daily patient activities and monitor overall wellbeing.

· Provide thorough, accurate, and timely documentation of all patient activities/actions.

· Communicate and set limits with culturally diverse patients.

· Act in ways that preserves the integrity of the therapeutic alliance between the program and the patient at all times.

· Maintain the safety of the patients and the security of the facility.

· Participate in the intake process of incoming patients, train team members in admissions process including luggage search.

· Assist patients with transportation needs, schedule and coordinate RA’s accordingly.

· Administration of patient drug screens.

· Instruct recovery-based lectures as assigned.

· Required to follow company dress code requirements and ensure that the RA team is doing the same.

· Responsible for patient phone calls and emails during off-schedule hours.

· Uphold all Hanley Center Foundation Policies and Procedures.

· Maintain patient/potential patient confidentiality in accordance with Hanley Policy.


Supervisory Responsibility:

This position manages all employees of the department and is responsible for the performance management and hiring of the employees within that department.


Education/Experience/Qualifications:

· High School Diploma or equivalent required.

· Supervisory experience preferred.

· Must have experience working in a residential treatment facility.

· If in recovery, one (1) year continuous sobriety is required.

· Must produce and maintain a valid driver’s license and pass MVR requirements per policy.


Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

· Demonstrate managerial experience and competence.

· Must be computer literate and be familiar with most Microsoft products and network components and EMR system.

· Must have fluid communication skills that foster teamwork and high morale.

· Must be able to set an example as a leader so that others that report to them want to follow with enthusiasm.

· Must possess a high degree of organizational skills and be able to pass this information to his/her direct reports.

· Must be thoroughly familiar and be able to demonstrate knowledge of the principles and programs of the various 12-step fellowships.
