Data Management Specialist

Job Location: Tamarac, FL

Job Summary:

The Data Management Specialist maintains primary responsibility of all PTS data systems, security and end-user support for specific applications and productivity tools. S/he manages MS Access databases and develops custom VBA applications to support these and other applications. The Data Management Specialist is responsible for maintaining the data systems to ensure performance and reliability and improve these systems to enhance user experience. The Data Management Specialist works collaboratively with Proponent Technical Services ("PTS") staff to provide technical support and continuous improvements to data systems. The Data Management Specialist is responsible for the maintenance and reliable operation of the data systems including maintenance tasks, data backup and user access. The Data Management Specialist will be responsible for creating and maintaining documentation of the data systems for user support and training purposes. They will work with PTS department managers to develop and maintain standards for forms, templates, manuals, procedures, training material, marketing material, reports, presentations, and other standard documents. The Data Management Specialist works cross-functionally to perform other responsibilities as assigned. Responsibilities and duties may change as circumstances dictate.

Requirements for Success:

  • High School Diploma and/or Degree in Information Technology, Related equivalent professional training, certifications or experience
  • 1-2 Years of related database systems, productivity software, or technical experience
  • Technically oriented with ability to develop & troubleshoot code
  • Office 365 Applications
  • Proficient with Excel & Access VBA coding
  • Ability to create/maintain technical documentation
  • Focused on continuous improvement
