Responsibilities

Summary

This position manages the process related to all Contract Administration functions, to include Finance & business development research and requests assigned to the department. Typical functions include reviewing and developing questions in response to agency requests for proposals (RFPs) and compiling reports for internal requests for information across the divisions of the Company. Oversees the conformance & REA process. Additionally, this position reviews contract language associated with per diem rates, fixed costs, wage determinations. Liaison between Contract Administration and both internal and external clients. This position is responsible for ad hoc reporting, tracking, research, and department support activity as assigned.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Reviews, tracks, develops question and responds to business development documents and inquiries as submitted to the department (RFPs, RFIs, ).
  • Works independently to research current contract documents and to compile ad hoc reports as requested by internal and external sources.
  • Audits the contract database and updates with new and revised information pertaining to contract documents.
  • Reviews amendments, modifications, Requests for Adjustments (REAs), SF1444s prior to submission for financial impact.
  • Contributes to review of small business, sub-contracting, federal registrations and reporting requirements.
  • Manages and updates contract document templates across divisions.
  • Assists in processing contract requests for modifications.
  • Assists in internal department communications required to streamline contract processing.
  • Manages special projects related to department process implementation.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or public administration, management, or similar discipline.
  • Ten (10) years of experience in contracts, corrections, or legal or proven ability to perform the overall duties and responsibilities of this position.
  • Experience with statistical research and analysis required.
  • Experience in procurement preferred.
  • Must possess a working knowledge of contract legal requirements.
  • Possess excellent computer skills to include working knowledge of a variety of data systems.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to write reports in a clear and concise manner.
  • Exceptional writing skills and ability to proof-read and edit.
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally to others.
  • Ability to make presentations.
  • Ability to be organized and able to work on several tasks at the same time.
  • Ability to occasionally travel with overnight stays.
  • Must be able to pass a background investigation.
  • Ability to work with computers and the necessary software typically used by the department.
