Job Description

Are you ready to join one of the biggest names in Healthcare Technology Management?

Are you ready to be part of something special...

This is your opportunity to get in the door as we EXPLODE in growth!

If you are energetic and passionate --> YOU NEED TO APPLY

Who We Are:

Founded by Philip Revien and Michael Fischer in 2014, 626 provides maintenance expertise on all medical imaging equipment manufacturers and modalities. Philip and Michael first met in the maternity ward of a South Florida hospital on June 26, 2012, the day each of their sons were born. The vision for 626 (a tribute to their sons’ birth dates) was also born that day.

The pair began talking and soon realized they shared a common goal— improving patient care. Two years later, 626 was established. What began as two men in a garage, 626 now employs more than 300 employees nationwide and has emerged as one of the fastest-growing third-party company in the healthcare technology management market.

Developer position

Role: Senior Full-Stack Engineer (Healthcare Device Operations Platform)

Mission: Own and accelerate development of the vFSE platform a Material Design 3 inspired operations console for managing medical/industrial imaging systems, combining real time device monitoring, remote access, and rich data visualization as well as tools developed for national support engineers to make quick diagnosis of hard-down medical imaging devices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end feature delivery across the React + Vite frontend and Express/TypeScript backend, ensuring reliability for system monitoring, alerting, and remote workflows.
  • Work closely with R&D on integrating custom tools into the app.
  • Architect and harden real-time telemetry, WebSocket/Socket.io flows, and device connectivity services for heterogeneous medical equipment.
  • Evolve UI/UX to meet the platform’s Material Design 3 + Shadcn-UI standards—dense dashboards, status-driven visuals, and data-forward components.
  • Own database and ORM migrations (PostgreSQL + Drizzle), ensuring data integrity and performance for multi-site deployments.
  • Build secure file handling, uploads, and persistence pipelines for device assets and configurations (S3, SES, Multer).
  • Implement authentication, session management, and logging with production-grade observability and auditability.
  • Collaborate on mapping/GIS, charting, and Grafana integrations to surface location-aware system health and longitudinal metrics.

Core Tech Stack

  • Frontend: React, Vite, TypeScript, Tailwind/Shadcn-UI, Radix primitives, TanStack Query, Wouter routing, Recharts, Leaflet/Google Maps.
  • Backend: Node/Express (ESM), Socket.io, Drizzle ORM, PostgreSQL, Passport authentication, Multer uploads, Twilio, AWS (S3/SES).
  • Build/Tooling: tsx dev server, ESBuild bundling, TypeScript, lint/type checks via tsc.

Required Skills

  • 5+ years with TypeScript across React + Node/Express; proven delivery of real-time, socket-enabled applications.
  • Strong UI systems thinking; can translate design tokens and component guidelines into scalable, accessible interfaces (Material Design / Shadcn-UI).
  • Production experience with PostgreSQL and modern TypeScript ORMs (Drizzle/Prisma/TypeORM); confident in schema migrations and performance tuning.
  • Deep familiarity with authentication/session patterns, secure file handling (Multer/S3), and event/log pipelines.
  • Competence with mapping/geo libraries (Leaflet/Google Maps) and charting/observability integrations (Recharts/Grafana/Prometheus).
  • Comfortable with healthcare/regulated environments: reliability, auditing, and clear error handling.
  • Excellent debugging and logging discipline for distributed real-time services.
  • Experience with remote device access (SSH/Telnet/WebSocket tunnels) and terminal/console UX patterns.
  • Background in medical device workflows or industrial IoT.
  • Familiarity with motion/3D integrations (Framer Motion, Spline) for interactive status and training views.

Success Indicators

  • Ship a hardened system-overview experience with reliable Prometheus data ingestion and site/location context.
  • Establish observability and logging baselines for API and socket traffic; reduce mean-time-to-debug.
  • Deliver at least one end-to-end feature touching uploads/storage plus a data visualization surface that aligns with the design guidelines.
  • Demonstrated attention to accessibility best practices, including proper semantic HTML, ARIA roles, and WCAG-aligned design.
