The Program Director is responsible for overseeing all clinical and administrative operations of the substance abuse and mental health treatment programs. This role ensures the quality and effectiveness of the programs, adheres to regulatory standards, and fosters a supportive environment for clients and staff. The Program Director will be instrumental in program development, staff training, and client care management to achieve optimal treatment outcomes.
Program Oversight & Development:
• Lead and supervise all program activities, ensuring they align with the center’s mission, vision, and values.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate program policies and procedures to ensure they meet state, federal, and accreditation standards.
• Oversee quality improvement initiatives to continuously enhance program effectiveness and client outcomes.
• Client Care Management:
• Ensure a high standard of care is provided to clients in compliance with evidence-based practices.
• Conduct regular case reviews with clinical staff to monitor treatment progress and address any client concerns.
• Collaborate with clinical staff to design and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Staff Supervision & Development:
• Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate clinical and support staff.
• Facilitate ongoing training programs to support staff development and ensure compliance with licensure requirements.
• Conduct regular team meetings to discuss program updates, address challenges, and maintain staff engagement.
Compliance & Documentation:
• Ensure that all program activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations as well as licensing requirements.
• Oversee the maintenance of accurate and timely client records, ensuring they meet regulatory and ethical standards.
• Prepare and submit all required reports and documentation to regulatory bodies as needed.
• Community Engagement:
• Build and maintain strong relationships with community resources, referral sources.
• Represent the treatment center at community events and with professional organizations to promote awareness and foster partnerships.
• Coordinate with the admissions team to manage program capacity and intake processes.
Qualifications:
• Master’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or a related field; clinical licensure (e.g., LCSW, LMHC, LMFT) is preferred but not required.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in substance abuse and mental health treatment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
• In-depth knowledge of evidence-based practices in addiction and mental health treatment.
• Familiarity with state and federal regulations, including HIPAA and Joint Commission standards.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse populations and handle sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism.
Working Conditions:
The position may require flexible hours, including evenings or weekends, to meet client and program needs.
