Fort Myers, FL | Hybrid (2 days onsite/week) | Full-Time

Position Summary

Join a respected multi-discipline engineering firm in Fort Myers, FL as a Senior Mechanical Engineer. This hybrid role combines technical leadership, project management, and team mentoring within a collaborative environment. You’ll oversee projects from concept through construction, ensuring technical excellence and client satisfaction. This opportunity is ideal for a seasoned professional with 15+ years’ experience in commercial building design and a passion for developing engineering teams.

Basic Qualifications

  • Accredited bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering

  • Active Professional Engineer (PE) license required

  • 12+ years of experience in an Architecture/Engineering environment

  • Proven success managing commercial mechanical engineering projects

  • Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, energy systems, and related disciplines

  • Experience mentoring and supervising engineering staff

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field

  • LEED or sustainability certification

  • Experience with large-scale commercial and institutional projects

  • Familiarity with local building codes and energy efficiency standards

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead mechanical engineering projects of varying size and complexity from start to finish

  • Supervise and mentor engineering staff, fostering technical growth and career development
